Who We Are

KnowledgeWorldWar.Games is a global knowledge competition platform operated at knowledgeworldwar.games. We are the data controller for all personal information collected through this service. For privacy inquiries, contact us at privacy@knowledgeworldwar.games.

What Data We Collect
Account Data
Email address, call sign, country selection, and account creation date. Required to create and identify your account.
Game Data
Quiz scores, sessions played, streaks, question responses, continent choices, and timestamps. Used to power leaderboards and personal stats.
Usage Data
Pages visited, time on site, game mode selections, and general interaction patterns. Used to improve the platform experience.
Intel Note
Guest Players: If you play as a guest without registering, we do not store any account data. Your quiz session is temporary and no score is saved to our servers.
How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to operate the game: to authenticate your account, calculate and display your scores, power real-time leaderboards, maintain your daily streak, process Warlord subscription payments, and send transactional emails such as email verification and password reset.

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising profiling. We do not share your data with any third party except those strictly necessary to run the platform.

Third-Party Services
Supabase
Database, authentication, and real-time data. Your account data is stored on Supabase-managed PostgreSQL servers.
Vercel
Web hosting and edge delivery. Handles HTTP requests and serves the application.
Stripe
Payment processing for Warlord subscriptions. We never see your card details; Stripe handles payment data directly.
Google OAuth
Optional sign-in provider. If you choose Sign in with Google, Google authenticates your identity and we receive your name and email.
Anthropic Claude
Powers AI hints and translation generation. Quiz content may be sent to generate hints or localized content. Personal account data is not needed for those requests.
Cloudflare
DNS routing, DDoS protection, and Turnstile CAPTCHA. Processes web traffic at the network level.
Google AdSense
Displays ads to free-tier users. Warlord subscribers see no ads and no AdSense cookies are set for them.
Data Retention and Deletion

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing privacy@knowledgeworldwar.games. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

Aggregate, anonymized data, such as total points scored by country, may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be linked to any individual.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, request erasure of your data, object to processing, and request a copy of your data in a portable format.

Security

Passwords are never stored in plain text. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth using industry-standard bcrypt hashing. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Row-level security policies in our database ensure users can only access their own data. CAPTCHA protection is active on authentication forms.
